About us 6 questions

What services does Codexlava provide?
Codexlava provides custom software development, AI integration, MVP development, mobile app development, website and e-commerce development on WordPress, Shopify, Flask and Next.js, data analysis and visualisation, SEO and AI visibility, and digital marketing. It works with startups and growing businesses across the United Kingdom.
What industries do you work in?
Codexlava focuses on three: startups, e-commerce and healthcare. Our flexible approach means we deliver customised solutions for both small businesses and larger organisations, and the scoping conversation starts with the constraints of your sector rather than with the technology.
Where are you based?
Codexlava is at 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA, and we work with clients across the United Kingdom. CODEXLAVA LTD is registered in England and Wales, company number 16654084.
Do you work with clients across the UK?
Yes, across the United Kingdom. Most of the work runs remotely, so where you are makes no practical difference to how a project is delivered or to what it costs.
Why are there no client logos or testimonials on this site?
Because there are none that can be published yet. Codexlava will not display a logo it has no permission to use or a review it did not receive; inventing either is unlawful in the UK under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. When there is work that can be named with permission, it will appear here with the client's name on it.
Can you get our business mentioned by AI assistants like ChatGPT?
Codexlava can make a site reachable, readable and accurate for AI assistants - crawler access, pages that render without JavaScript, schema.org data, llms.txt and answers written to be quoted. Nobody, including Codexlava, can guarantee a position in an AI answer or a citation, because no assistant sells one. Anyone promising otherwise is describing something they cannot control.

Working with us 7 questions

What does Codexlava's development process look like?
Every build follows the same four stages: discovery and scope, design and prototype, build, then test, launch and hand over. Prototypes are approved before production code is written, because changing a wireframe costs minutes and changing built software costs days. You always know which stage you are in and what comes out of it.
How long does it take to develop a website or software project?
Project timelines vary depending on scope and complexity. A simple website may take 2 to 4 weeks, while a larger custom software build or a multi-stage platform may take several months. We give you a clear timeline during the consultation phase so you know what to expect.
Can you work with the systems we already use?
Yes. Third-party API integration and system integration are part of what we build, whether that is a payment provider, a CRM or an internal tool you already depend on. It is usually the part of a project that most affects the timeline, so it is one of the first things we ask about.
Do you use AI to build software?
Yes, where it genuinely speeds the work up, and every line is reviewed by the engineer who owns it. Nothing reaches a client that a human has not read. The scope of a project is read, questioned and agreed with you rather than generated and handed over.
What do we get at the end of a project?
Working software, plus the technical documentation to maintain it: software requirement specifications, API documentation, and user manuals and guides. The intention is that the work can be picked up by whoever takes it on next, including your own team.
Who owns the code when the project ends?
You own what you paid for. Documentation ships with the build so your own team, or any other supplier, can maintain it, and nothing is written in a way that is designed to lock you to Codexlava.
What happens after launch?
After QA testing and live validation we deploy the solution and provide ongoing support, feeding real usage back into the next iteration. How that support works is agreed as part of scoping, because it depends on whether your team takes the product over or we keep running it.

Cost 3 questions

How much does a project cost?
Every build is scoped individually, so there is no fixed price list. What a quote depends on is what the product has to do at launch, whether it integrates with systems you already run, whether design starts from scratch, and who maintains it after launch. Tell us what you are building and we will come back to you on scope, approach and cost.
Do you charge a day rate or a fixed project price?
Either, depending on what suits the work. Well-defined scope tends to suit a fixed project price, because you carry no risk on the estimate. Open-ended or exploratory work tends to suit a rate, because a fixed price on an unknown scope just means padding. We will say which one we think fits.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. The first consultation is free and carries no obligation. It is also the fastest route to a number: come with what you are building and who it is for, what it has to do at launch, anything it must connect to, and the timeline you are working to.

Getting started 2 questions

How do we get started?
Book a scoping call, or email enquiries@codexlava.co.uk with what you are building and who it is for. It helps to know what it has to do at launch, anything it must connect to, and the timeline you are working to.
What should I include in my first message?
What you are building and who it is for, what it has to do at launch, anything it must connect to, and the timeline you are working to. That is usually enough for us to come back with a view on scope and approach rather than a request for more information.

Tell us what you are building

One call, no obligation. We will tell you what the work involves, roughly what it costs, and whether we are the right people to do it.
